My name is Mark and I will be Commissioner of External Affairs in the 2019 / 2020 academic year. This means that I will be responsible for the promotion of the study association, which includes updating the social media channels and the website. Besides keeping the social media and the website up-to-date, I’m also the one who organises the so called ‘meeloopdagen’ and the AID Study day for the new bachelor students. Another task I’m in charge off, is staying in touch with the external relations of Ipso Facto. In the first year of my study Communication & Life Sciences, I decided to become part of the Benefiet committee of Ipso Facto. During this year I became good friends with my fellow committee members and together we raised a nice amount of money for charity. After the first year, I started as a member in three committees; the Activity committee, the Drinks committee and the Promotion committee. I met more members of Ipso Facto and became a regular visitor of the different activities. At that time I realised how much the association had meant for me in the past two years, I spend most of my lunchbreaks in meetings to organise activities and drinks and to design the associations magazine. Ipso Facto and all its members felt (and still feel) like a big family and that is (partly) why I decided in my third year to become a board member!
I want to give new members this same feeling and will do my absolute best to make this academic year one to remember!
